FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How long should I burn my candle for?

We recommended when lighting your candle for the first time, burn for 2-4 hours, making sure the top layer is completly liquid wax. This is because wax candles have a memory and doing this will help your candle to avoid tunneling for the rest of it's life.

Why is there black bits floating in my candle?

The black bits in your candles, is due to your wick mushrooming and then falling off. The best way to avoid this is trimming your wick before each burn! Trimming your wick also extends the life time for your candle.

Why is there black soot around the inside of the jar and how do I clean it?

This is from not trimming the wick before every burn. To remove it ensure the wax is completely cool. Use a damp cloth and wipe the inside of the jar to remove the black marks.
